UGLA ERP joined the work on the “Enemy Software” project 16.12.2024 14:31

In the summer of 2024, UGLA ERP was elected as a member of the AgriTech committee of the IT Ukraine Association, which is working on implementing legislative changes and has created an important initiative called «Enemy Software». The use of russian software, unfortunately, has become an integral part of many businesses, statistics show that more than 75% of Ukrainian users use the hostile program «1C».

Experts are working on amendments and proposals for the draft Law of Ukraine «On amendments to the Law of Ukraine “On Sanctions” on prohibition of the use of software products and access to electronic information resources» (reg. No. 11492 and No. 11492-1). The main goal of the project is to remove from circulation and stop using all software products of the aggressor country, which should be the first priority for every responsible Ukrainian entrepreneur and his business.

Iryna Aldakimova, CEO of UGLA ERP, was present at the meeting of the expert group of the “Enemy Software” initiative, which took place on November 28, 2024. The Association presented a valuable resource — the project website. All the necessary information is now available to the public: analytics, chronology of the development of draft laws, software verification tools. During the meeting, the participants paid attention to the discussion of issues related to tactics for guaranteeing the strengthening of the project in the next year and key aspects that will bring «Enemy Software» closer to achieving its goal.

«For the UGLA ERP company, cooperation with the “IT Ukraine” Association and participation in the work on draft laws, in particular regarding the prohibition of the use of hostile software, is of great importance. Thanks to the initiative of the IT Association, we are actively involved in the working group of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence. This gives us the opportunity not only to convey our opinions, but also to directly influence the development of important legislative changes. Our main task is to finalize the procedures in the draft laws to ensure a clear and effective definition of what constitutes “hostile software”, even if it is registered in other countries. It is important for us that these laws are not only theoretical, but also implemented in practice with clear procedures for combating such software», says Iryna Aldakimova.

In addition, many are interested in the answer to the question of when the relevant draft law will be adopted.

«Given the strength of the team working on finalizing the draft law “On Sanctions”, as well as the openness of the process, when more than 200 companies in Ukraine and abroad are already actively involved in it, I believe that the draft law will be adopted quite quickly. Entrepreneurs and companies that are aware of the threat posed by hostile software understand the need for such changes. Therefore, I am sure that it will take no more than 3-4 months. However, it is important that the community is ready for such steps, because, for example, since 2017, more than 1.6 billion hryvnias have been spent on hostile software products. This is a huge amount, which once again confirms the importance of the rapid adoption of this draft law», Iryna shares.

Giving preference to russian products carries a number of risks for Ukraine, because it is a threat to national security, a high probability of data leakage and criminal manipulation, and last but not least, financing the enemy.

Russian programs that are in demand in Ukraine include:

  1. Bitrix24
  2. AmoCRM
  3. Мегаплан
  4. BAS
  5. 1С ТОИР
  6. Calltouch
  7. Mindbox
  8. NtechLab & FindFace
  9. DaOffice
  10. InSales
  11. Signum
  12. Labrika
  13. CallbackHunter
  14. Advego

More than 40 software products of the russian federation are actively used by Ukrainians, despite the fact that the time has long come for responsible and decisive steps. Lists of banned platforms are constantly updated, and you can track it by following the link.

From February 24, 2022, Ukrainian companies have spent more than 640 million to continue working on enemy software, and more than 200 million have already been paid this year. Although some businesses have consciously approached this issue, the problem is still pressing, and the statistics are disappointing. Ukrainian businesses should act as soon as possible, because every day the use of Russian software plays into the hands of the invaders. The solutions offered by the modern Ukrainian IT sphere, in particular UGLA ERP, are a promising investment in business, a guarantee of safety and quality, support of our state’s economy, and an opportunity to break any ties with the enemy.
